Keep Maui Nui Home asked 499 likely Maui County voters how the recovery is going, what should happen next, and whether they trust the county with the next disaster. Here is what they said, question by question, in the poll's own words.

Asked before the poll gave respondents any information about the recovery. The full question, as asked:
It has been more than three years since wildfires devastated Lahaina homeowners and businesses. From what you have seen or heard, how well do you think the Maui County government has handled the recovery in Lahaina?

Only 35% called the county's handling excellent or good. Subgroup margins of error are larger than the poll's 4.8 points and should be read with that in mind.

In West Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi, the communities closest to the fire, it is 68%.
Two proposals were put to voters. Both drew wide agreement across regions and parties.
support a faster permitting process for Lahaina businesses and homeowners who lost their properties in the fire. 12% oppose.

In West Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi: 91%. Only 15% countywide chose it.

A high number here means most voters did not make it a priority. The poll did not ask anyone to vote against a measure.
